Fairy-tale Weddings { Happily Ever Afters }

A Fairy-Tale Wedding:

Once upon a time, in a little log cabin far, far away…

What is a fairy-tale wedding? Just hearing the word “fairy-tale” conjures up images of Disney princesses who have found their true love and are on their way to happily ever after.

“Every once in a while, in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy-tale.” We simply love this quote, as it is completely true. Amazing, breath-taking, can’t live without love can happen to anyone, at any time and anywhere in the world. Your true love could be across a crowded room, in your very own group of friends, or on the bus next to you on your way to work. These chance encounters usually happen when you least expect it. All of a sudden, your eyes lock and you feel a connection with a certain someone. It could happen after years of friendship or after days of meeting. Love shows no boundaries, only magic.

Love is simple, love is grand, love is calm, and love is exciting. Love is whatever you want it to be. Every relationship is greatly different, and there is no set rules to follow for love. Love is what is right for you and your partner. Love is a great mystery; it simply fulfills the soul and enhances one’s life.

At the little log wedding chapel, we get to see fairy-tales and happily every afters at each wedding ceremony. Our once upon a time stories occur to all different types of couples, between couples who have been together for a couple of  months to several decades, to best friends, to across the world distance lovers, to a wide variety of age ranges, to all different cultures and religious beliefs. Our couples are diverse in their love stories and how they came to meet and grow their relationship.

A once upon a time story at our chapel might sound like this: Once upon a time, in a wooded area not far away from Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, came a young couple and their baby girl to wed and share their vows to each other on a special summer day.

Our chapel fairy-tales could be:

– Two people together for 10 years who decide they want to get married in a special place they can call their own.

– Two people who are of same sex and are in love but weddings for them are not legal in their home town.

– Two elderly widowers who after many lonely years found love again.

– Two people who found each other after both experiencing traumatic accidents

– A couple looking to avoid the stress, hassle and expense of a big wedding and envisioning a more romantic, intimate and memorable experience.

What is your fairy-tale? Perhaps your happily ever after starts at the Elope Niagara’s little log wedding chapel.
