Elope Niagara couple met at a beard competition!

“We met at a beard competition!”

Michelle and Justin have such a cool love story that we had to share it!

They met at the “Detroit circus of whiskers” where Justin was there to represent the “Mad Viking beard club” (based in the U.S.) and Michelle was there with www.theyeardproject.org (based in Canada). The founders raise money and awareness for Chrons and Colitis.

Michelle was helping at the table and was a “whiskerina” as well. The two met prior to the competition as the 2 groups are close. “I was trying to hit on him, but he was clueless” was Michelle’s recount of the first meet. After meeting again they started out as friends talking via text. Then things progressed to talking 24/7, and started to spend time together and it all ended happily ever after with them saying “I do” at our little log wedding chapel.

Justin had some interesting props with him that we asked about: The necklace is a Mjolnir, which is Thor’s hammer. It provides protection, strength and power to the bearer. The other item is a drinking horn, in which they did drink Meade out of it during their wedding dinner!

So how did Justin finish in his category at the competition? 6th… but we think he was the overall winner because HE GOT THE GIRL!
